How it works

1. Cast Phyrexian Walker by paying 0.
2. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Phyrexian Walker, adding CC.
3. Activate Auriok Salvagers by paying 2, returning Phyrexian Walker from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Repeat.

This classic loop centers on Auriok Salvagers and Ashnod's Altar, which together generate infinite colorless mana and death triggers by looping a zero-mana artifact creature through the graveyard. Normally, Auriok Salvagers is restricted to returning small artifacts, but Mycosynth Lattice transforms every single permanent—including the free-to-cast Phyrexian Walker—into an artifact of any mana value. With the Lattice making the Walker an artifact regardless of its base types, Ashnod's Altar provides the mana needed to fund the Salvagers' ability while sending the Walker back to the graveyard to start the cycle anew.
