How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Phyrexian Walker
2. When Phyrexian Walker dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Phyrexian Walker from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast Phyrexian Walker from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
4. Repeat.

This cunning loop turns free resources into an engine of endless iteration by combining Gwenom, Remorseless with a remarkably cheap artifact skeleton. With Gwenom's attack trigger active, you can play creatures directly off the top of your library for zero mana by paying life instead, allowing Phyrexian Walker to slip effortlessly into play without costing you a single drop of actual mana. Whenever that little artifact creature meets its end on Ashnod's Altar, Mortuary steps in to instantly rescue it from the graveyard and tuck it right back onto the top of your library. That generated colorless mana fuels any further ambitions you might have, while the continuous cycle of sacrifices and returns generates an infinite storm count and a virtually endless parade of triggers.
