How it works

1. Cast Walking Ballista either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0.
2. Walking Ballista enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Mortuary triggers, putting Walking Ballista on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into a reliable conduit right back to the battlefield, built around Walking Ballista entering as a 0/0 and instantly perishing as a state-based action. Mortuary catches this demise and neatly tucks the automaton onto the top of your library, where Vizier of the Menagerie steps in to let you peer ahead and recast it for zero mana while also letting you spend mana of any type if needed. Because you can repeatedly play the creature straight off your library, this engine generates infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield effects, and storm count without ever needing to draw a card.
