How it works

1. Cast Phyrexian Marauder either from your hand or from the top of your library by paying 0.
2. Phyrexian Marauder enters the battlefield and dies as a state-based action due to having zero toughness.
3. Mortuary triggers, putting Phyrexian Marauder on top of your library from your graveyard.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a zero-mana artifact creature into a perpetual motion machine by exploiting Mortuary's mandatory replacement effect, which sends Phyrexian Marauder straight back to the top of your library whenever it hits the graveyard. While the Marauder immediately perishes from having zero toughness upon entry, Vizier of the Menagerie provides the crucial lens and permission needed to bypass your hand entirely, letting you peer at the top of your library and recast the creature for zero mana over and over again. Because Vizier of the Menagerie also lets you spend mana of any type, you aren't even bottlenecked by color constraints if you branch out, though the Marauder itself costs nothing to keep this infinite cycle of life, death, and storm count rolling.
