How it works

1. Activate Steelfin Whale using the ability granted to it by Hypervolt Grasp by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating a Treasure token.
3. When the Treasure enters, Steelfin Whale triggers, untapping Steelfin Whale.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms simple self-inflicted damage into an endless cascade of wealth by turning Steelfin Whale into a direct-damage engine via Hypervolt Grasp. Tapping the whale pings Smaug the Impenetrable for 1 noncombat damage, which instantly triggers the dragon's wrath to forge a Treasure token. Because Steelfin Whale's affinity for artifacts helps cheapen its deployment, every newly minted Treasure entering the battlefield triggers the whale's passive ability to untap itself. This leaves you free to tap the whale over and over again, harvesting boundless colored mana, artifact triggers, and infinite Treasures.
