How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, activate Necrotic Ooze using Talas Researcher's ability by tapping it, causing you to draw a card.
2. Wizard Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Necrotic Ooze.
3. Activate Necrotic Ooze using Cinderhaze Wretch's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns Necrotic Ooze into a one-man card-drawing engine by absorbing abilities from the graveyard. With Wizard Class leveled up to three, every card you draw places a +1/+1 counter on the Ooze, which cleverly cancels out the -1/-1 counter required to untap it using Cinderhaze Wretch's self-untap ability. This allows you to endlessly tap the Ooze for Talas Researcher's card-drawing tap ability without ever running out of steam.
