How it works
- Cast Doppelgang by paying 15, creating five token copies of Skullwinder and of the four mana-producing permanents.
- When the Skullwinder tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, returning Doppelgang and up to four other instant or sorcery cards from your graveyard to your hand.
- Activate seventeen of the mana-producing permanent tokens by tapping them, adding at least 15.
- Repeat.
- Once you have infinite tokens and mana, you may instead target any other permanents using Doppelgang.
This magnificent loop hinges on scaling Doppelgang up with a massive influx of mana so that it can replicate both Skullwinder and your mana-producing permanents all at once. As the Skullwinder token copies flood the battlefield, their entry triggers allow you to scoop Doppelgang and a flurry of other spells straight back out of your graveyard and into your hand. Meanwhile, tapping your newly minted mana-producing permanent tokens easily refunds the exorbitant casting cost, letting you replay Doppelgang over and over again to amass infinite copies of every permanent you control while stripping your graveyard clean of restrictions.
