How it works

1. Activate Squandered Resources by sacrificing Drownyard Temple, adding C.
2. Each Scouring Swarm you control triggers, creating a tapped token copy of itself.
3. If you control two or more Scouring Swarms, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Scouring Swarm, adding CC.
4. Activate Drownyard Temple by paying 3, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns the steady recycling of land resources into an explosive swarm of airborne threats. By feeding Drownyard Temple to Squandered Resources, you generate the initial mana while sending the land straight to the graveyard, where its own activation cost can pull it right back. Meanwhile, the sacrifice triggers and passive presence of Scouring Swarm ensure that every lost land multiplies your board presence—provided you have met its threshold—creating a critical mass of bodies. You can then cash in those extra copies using Ashnod's Altar to fuel the Temple's return, leaving you with an endless engine of colorless mana and sacrificial triggers.
