How it works

1. Activate Squandered Resources by sacrificing Drownyard Temple.
2. Each Scouring Swarm you control triggers, creating a tapped token copy of itself.
3. Resolve the Squandered Resources ability.
4. If you control three or more Scouring Swarms, activate Thermopod by sacrificing a Scouring Swarm, adding .
5. Repeat step 4 until you control two Scouring Swarms or until you have 3 available, whichever comes first.
6. Activate Drownyard Temple by paying 3, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns your land resources into an endless engine by letting Squandered Resources feed Drownyard Temple directly into the graveyard, where its own activation can pull it right back out. Meanwhile, Thermopod provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to convert your expanding board into red mana, which fuels the temple's return cost. As you cycle your lands and creatures, Scouring Swarm watches the graveyard fill up until its threshold is met, rapidly multiplying into an army of token copies that keep the sacrifice chain perpetually running.
