How it works

1. Activate Troubled Healer by sacrificing Drownyard Temple.
2. Each Scouring Swarm you control triggers, creating a tapped token copy of itself.
3. Resolve the Troubled Healer ability.
4. If you control four or more Scouring Swarms, activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing a Scouring Swarm, adding 1.
5. Repeat step 4 until you control three Scouring Swarms or until you have 3 available, whichever comes first.
6. Activate Drownyard Temple by paying 3, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious engine begins by harnessing Troubled Healer to sacrifice Drownyard Temple, sending the land straight to your graveyard while conveniently triggering Scouring Swarm. Once your graveyard holds at least seven lands, Scouring Swarm's triggered ability scales up to churn out tapped token copies of itself rather than meager 1/1 Insects. You can then feed these newly minted copies to Phyrexian Altar to generate the exact mana needed to activate Drownyard Temple's ability from the graveyard, looping the land right back to the battlefield to restart the cycle and yield infinite colored mana, tokens, and death triggers.
