How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Dross Scorpion, adding CC.
2. When Dross Scorpion dies, it triggers, untapping Othelm.
3. Activate Othelm by paying 2 and tapping it, returning Dross Scorpion from your graveyard to the battlefield.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop begins with Encroaching Mycosynth, which transforms all your nonland permanents, spells, and cards in your graveyard into artifacts. This means Othelm, Sigardian Outcast becomes an artifact creature and is safely targeted by its own resurrection ability, while Dross Scorpion's death trigger can actively untap Othelm in response to the mayhem. By feeding Dross Scorpion to Ashnod's Altar for mana, you fuel Othelm's activation cost and trigger the Scorpion to untap Othelm, creating a self-sustaining cycle that generates infinite sacrifices, triggers, and battlefield entries.
