How it works

1. Activate Steelfin Whale using the ability granted to it by Power of Fire by tapping it, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating a Treasure token.
3. When the Treasure enters, Steelfin Whale triggers, untapping Steelfin Whale.
4. Repeat.

This engine transforms a simple ping into an endless cascade of treasure, anchored by enchanting Steelfin Whale with Power of Fire to give the aquatic creature a direct tap ability. By directing that 1 damage straight at Smaug the Impenetrable, Smaug's own rage triggers to manifest a Treasure token from the noncombat damage it sustains. The moment that new artifact arrives, Steelfin Whale's passive untap trigger responds to the influx, readying the whale to tap and ping all over again.
