How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Teardrop Kami by sacrificing it, targeting Hell's Caretaker.
2. When Teardrop Kami dies, Abzan Ascendancy's second ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Spirit creature token.
3. Resolve the Teardrop Kami trigger, untapping Hell's Caretaker.
4. Activate Hell's Caretaker by tapping it and sacrificing the Spirit, returning Teardrop Kami from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This lovely loop turns your upkeep into a continuous cycle of resurrection fueled by Abzan Ascendancy. As Hell's Caretaker sacrifices and revives your creatures, Abzan Ascendancy cushions the graveyard trips by replacing each fallen nontoken with a flying Spirit token to feed right back into the engine. Meanwhile, Teardrop Kami serves as the catalyst that untaps Hell's Caretaker upon its sacrifice, keeping the perpetual motion machine humming along nicely.
