How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Teardrop Kami by sacrificing it, targeting Hell's Caretaker.
2. When Teardrop Kami dies, Pawn of Ulamog triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
3. Resolve the Teardrop Kami trigger, untapping Hell's Caretaker.
4. Activate Hell's Caretaker by tapping it and sacrificing the Eldrazi Spawn, returning Teardrop Kami from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This clever recursion loop relies on Hell's Caretaker to cycle creatures directly from your graveyard to the battlefield during your upkeep, but it needs a clever engine to reset and fund those activations. Teardrop Kami serves as the initial sacrifice, targeting the Caretaker to untap it while sliding gracefully into the graveyard so it can be brought back later. Meanwhile, Pawn of Ulamog watches the proceedings, quietly manufacturing an Eldrazi Spawn token every time a nontoken creature hits the graveyard. You then sacrifice that newly minted token to pay for Hell's Caretaker's ability, allowing you to recur Teardrop Kami endlessly and generate an infinite storm of sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield, and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
