How it works

1. During your upkeep, activate Teardrop Kami by sacrificing it, targeting Hell's Caretaker.
2. When Teardrop Kami dies, Open the Graves triggers, creating a 2/2 Zombie creature token.
3. Resolve the Teardrop Kami trigger, untapping Hell's Caretaker.
4. Activate Hell's Caretaker by tapping it and sacrificing the Zombie, returning Teardrop Kami from your graveyard to the battlefield.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms your upkeep step into an engine of endless cyclical sacrifice, fueled by the recursive synergy between Hell's Caretaker and Teardrop Kami. Because Teardrop Kami can sacrifice itself to untap Hell's Caretaker, it triggers Open the Graves right away, replacing the fallen Kami with a 2/2 black Zombie creature token. You can then tap Hell's Caretaker to sacrifice that very Zombie token, using its reanimation ability to bring Teardrop Kami right back to the battlefield so the whole dance can begin anew.
