How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 3 life.
4. Cleric Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop harnesses Ashnod's Altar as an engine to repeatedly sacrifice Kitchen Finks for a steady stream of colorless mana. Because Kitchen Finks features persist, it naturally returns to the battlefield after hitting the graveyard, but the -1/-1 counter it receives would normally shut the loop down immediately. However, Cleric Class provides the crucial passive and triggered support needed to sustain the cycle: its replacement effect pumps up the life gained from the Finks's entry, while its Level 2 triggered ability places a +1/+1 counter on the Finks upon that lifegain. Since +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters annihilate each other as a state-based action, the Kitchen Finks is perpetually cleansed of its counters, allowing you to sacrifice it over and over again to fuel an infinite storm of life, mana, and triggers.
