How it works

1. Activate Kwain by tapping it, causing you to draw a card and gain 2 life, and allowing each opponent to draw a card and gain 1 life.
2. Cleric Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Crystalline Crawler.
3. Activate Crystalline Crawler's first ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding .
4. Activate Freed from the Real's second ability by paying , untapping Kwain.
5. Repeat.

This intricate loop turns the unassuming Kwain, Itinerant Meddler into a prolific engine by pairing card draw with life gain. Thanks to the replacement effect from Cleric Class, every time Kwain's tap ability resolves, your life gain is boosted, which in turn triggers the Class's Level 2 ability to place a +1/+1 counter onto Crystalline Crawler. You can then immediately cash in that newly minted counter with Crystalline Crawler's mana ability to generate the blue mana required to untap Kwain using Freed from the Real. Repeating this process yields near-infinite card draw and life gain for you, while also drawing out your opponents if you choose to keep the taps flowing!
