How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Kitchen Finks.
2. When Kitchen Finks dies, its persist ability triggers, returning Kitchen Finks from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Kitchen Finks enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to gain 3 life.
4. Cleric Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Kitchen Finks.
5. Repeat.

This lovely loop turns the recursive nature of Kitchen Finks into an engine of endless resources, fueled by the mana-generating sacrifice outlet Phyrexian Altar. Every time the Finks hit the graveyard, persist brings them right back with a -1/-1 counter, but Cleric Class steps in to effortlessly neutralize that drawback by granting a +1/+1 counter to cancel out the penalty, allowing the persist trigger to reset cleanly the next time around. At the same time, Cleric Class's static life-boosting ability turns every entering-the-battlefield lifegain event into a larger sum, ensuring you gain a net positive amount of life with every iteration.
