How it works

1. Activate Essence Depleter by paying 1C, causing you to gain 2 life and an opponent to lose 1 life.
2. Cleric Class triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Cryptic Trilobite.
3. Activate Cryptic Trilobite by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding CC that can only be spent to activate abilities.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns a simple drain-and-gain effect into an endless engine, made possible because Cleric Class passively supercharges your life gain. With that extra point of life built into every activation, Essence Depleter's ability not only drains your opponent but generates a surplus that triggers Cleric Class to reward you with a +1/+1 counter. That counter lands squarely on Cryptic Trilobite, which you can then strip away to fuel the Trilobite's own ability, generating the colorless mana needed to keep Essence Depleter firing on repeat.
