How it works

1. Play a basic Forest card from your hand.
2. Kodama and Nesting Dragon trigger.
3. Resolve the Kodama trigger, choosing to put nothing onto the battlefield from your hand.
4. Holding priority, activate the basic Forest by tapping it, adding .
5. Resolve the Nesting Dragon trigger, creating a 0/2 Dragon Egg creature token.
6. When the Dragon Egg enters the battlefield, Kodama triggers.
7. Holding priority, activate Living Twister's second ability by paying , returning the Forest from the battlefield to your hand.
8. Resolve the Kodama trigger, putting the Forest onto the battlefield from your hand.
9. When the Forest enters the battlefield, Nesting Dragon triggers.
10. Repeat from step 4.

This clever loop transforms a simple land drop into an engine of endless creation by playing on Kodama of the East Tree's triggered ability to cheat permanents into play. Every time a land enters the battlefield, Nesting Dragon dutifully generates a Dragon Egg token, which in turn triggers Kodama of the East Tree to let you drop a permanent of equal or lesser mana value from your hand. Living Twister acts as the crucial pressure valve, using the mana generated by your land to bounce that very same land right back to your hand so Kodama of the East Tree can loop it infinitely.
