How it works

1. During your upkeep, Followed Footsteps triggers, creating a token copy of Timestream Navigator.
2. During your next upkeep, Followed Footsteps triggers, creating a token copy of Timestream Navigator.
3. Activate the ability of a Timestream Navigator token that did not enter the battlefield this turn by paying 2, tapping it, and putting it on the bottom of your library, taking an extra turn.
4. Repeat from 2.

This crafty pairing relies on Followed Footsteps to continually supply fresh copies of Timestream Navigator during your upkeeps, bypassing the classic restriction of the original casting. Once you have achieved the city's blessing, a token copy that has survived a turn cycle can tap and tuck itself to grant you an extra turn, while the newly spawned token waits in the wings to take over the mantle on the following loop. By chaining these activations together, you effectively lock down the game with an endless succession of your own turns.
