How it works

1. Activate Nemata's first ability by paying 2, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
2. Activate Lotus Ring's equip ability by paying 0 due to Puresteel Paladin, attaching it to the Saproling.
3. Activate the Saproling by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns your saplings into a self-sustaining mana engine, starting with Nemata, Grove Guardian pumping out Saproling tokens that immediately gain haste thanks to Rising of the Day. Once you have a few artifacts in play, Puresteel Paladin’s metalcraft completely zeroes out the equip cost of Lotus Ring, allowing you to strap the artifact onto the newly minted token for free. You then tap the equipped token to sacrifice it to Lotus Ring's activated ability, generating a net profit of mana that fuels the entire cycle over and over again.
