How it works

Once the bugs are on the board, Puresteel Paladin's metalcraft ability kicks in, reducing the equip cost of Lotus Ring to zero so you can instantly strap the massive ring onto a fresh insect. That equipped bug then taps and sacrifices itself to Lotus Ring's ability, netting three mana to fuel the Ant Queen once more while generating an endless cascade of creature tokens, deaths, and leaves-the-battlefield triggers.
