Carrion Feeder
Infinite creature LTBInfinite creature ETBInfinite creature sacrifice triggersInfinite death triggersInfinite +1/+1 counters on a creature
How it works
Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing Ambitious Aetherborn.
When Ambitious Aetherborn dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
When Ambitious Aetherborn enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability.
Repeat.
This crafty loop turns the graveyard into a revolving door for your creatures, heavily fueled by Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's passive grant of persist to your nontoken creatures. When you sacrifice Ambitious Aetherborn to Carrion Feeder, persist brings it right back with a -1/-1 counter, which is immediately canceled out by the +1/+1 counter from its own fabricate ability entering the battlefield. Because these counters annihilate each other state-based action style, the Aetherborn never accumulates a permanent debt of -1/-1 counters, allowing Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn's backside counterpart to keep resurrecting it indefinitely.
