How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Ambitious Aetherborn.
2. When Ambitious Aetherborn dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Ambitious Aetherborn enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop hinges on the back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, which grants your nontoken creatures the persist ability. Once Isilu is on the battlefield, you can sacrifice Ambitious Aetherborn to Bloodflow Connoisseur; because the Aetherborn enters with a -1/-1 counter from its persist trigger and a +1/+1 counter from its fabricate ability, these two counters instantly annihilate each other as a state-based action. This leaves Ambitious Aetherborn completely clean of counters and ready to be sacrificed to Bloodflow Connoisseur all over again. The result is an endless engine of sacrifices, death triggers, and infinitely growing power for your connoisseur.
