How it works

1. Activate Clock of Omens by tapping it and King Macar, targeting King Macar.
2. Ertha Jo triggers, copying Clock of Omens' ability, targeting Clock of Omens.
3. Resolve both Clock of Omens abilities, untapping it and King Macar.
4. King Macar triggers, exiling target creature and creating a Gold token.
5. Repeat.

When you tap Clock of Omens and King Macar to untap King Macar, Ertha Jo, Frontier Mentor steps in with her triggered ability to copy the untap effect, allowing you to also untap Clock of Omens. Each iteration of this loop triggers King Macar's inspired ability to untap, exiling an opposing creature and generating a Gold token that can further fuel your board state.
