How it works

1. Activate Grim Poppet by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Gigantoplasm.
2. Flourishing Defenses triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Gigantoplasm by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Grim Poppet.
4. Flourishing Defenses triggers, creating a creature token.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a mutual exchange of counters into a relentless factory of reinforcements, anchored by Flourishing Defenses to generate an endless horde of Elf Warrior tokens whenever a -1/-1 counter finds a home. Grim Poppet and Gigantoplasm bounce these counters back and forth between each other; since Gigantoplasm can enter the battlefield as a copy of Grim Poppet, it mirrors the exact same activated ability needed to keep the ping-pong match going. By continuously stripping and reapplying counters between the two, you trigger Flourishing Defenses over and over again without ever running out of fuel.
