How it works

1. Activate Grim Poppet by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Vizier of Many Faces.
2. Flourishing Defenses triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Vizier of Many Faces by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Grim Poppet.
4. Flourishing Defenses triggers, creating a creature token.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the distribution of -1/-1 counters into a tireless engine for your board state. By having Vizier of Many Faces enter the battlefield as a copy of Grim Poppet, you create a reciprocal relationship where each Poppet can strip a counter from the other to fuel its ability. Every time a counter moves back and forth between them, Flourishing Defenses spots the counter being placed and triggers to generously reward you with an Elf Warrior token, letting you generate an endless sea of creatures.
