How it works

1. Activate Grim Poppet by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Synth Infiltrator.
2. Flourishing Defenses triggers, creating a creature token.
3. Activate Synth Infiltrator by removing a -1/-1 counter from it, putting a -1/-1 counter on Grim Poppet.
4. Flourishing Defenses triggers, creating a creature token.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on a clever bit of mimicry: Synth Infiltrator enters the battlefield copying Grim Poppet, turning both creatures into mutual distributors of doom. By removing a -1/-1 counter from one to place it on the other, you set off a perpetual motion machine that lets you ping them back and forth indefinitely. Every single time a counter is placed, Flourishing Defenses triggers to reward your engineering with a fresh Elf Warrior token. The result is an endless cascade of creature enters-the-battlefield events and an infinite army of tokens.
