How it works

  1. Cast Chronozoa by paying 3U mana. It will enter without a time counter on it due to Solemnity.
  2. Activate Shilgengar by sacrificing Chronozoa.
  3. When Chronozoa dies, it triggers, creating two token copies of itself that also enter with no time counters on them due to Solemnity.
  4. Resolve the Shilgengar ability.
  5. Repeat from step 2 using a token copy of Chronozoa instead.

This loop relies on the brilliant interaction between Solemnity and Chronozoa, completely bypassing the latter's Vanishing drawback by preventing time counters from ever being placed on it as it enters. With no counters to strip away, sacrificing the original Chronozoa to Shilgengar, Sire of Famine triggers its death ability, generating two token copies that immediately enter the battlefield safely devoid of time counters themselves. You can then feed these fresh copies back into Shilgengar to endlessly repeat the process, turning the Sire's sacrificial demands into an endless harvest of Blood tokens, death triggers, and a constantly multiplying swarm of Chronozoa clones.
