How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument.
2. Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument trigger.
3. Resolve the Defiler of Faith trigger, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
4. When the Soldier enters, Anointer Priest triggers, causing you to gain life.
5. Resolve the Oketra's Monument trigger, creating a 1/1 Warrior creature token.
6. When the Warrior enters, Anointer Priest triggers, causing you to gain life.
7. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Anointer Priest trigger.
8. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
9. Resolve the Anointer Priest trigger, causing you to gain life.
10. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on stacking cost-reduction effects to cast Whitemane Lion for free while generating an engine of unending tokens and life. With Oketra's Monument reducing creature spells by {1} and Defiler of Faith shaving off the white mana in exchange for 2 life, the Lion's mana cost is completely erased. Every time you cast and recast it, Defiler of Faith and Oketra's Monument flood the board with Soldier and Warrior tokens, which in turn feed Anointer Priest's static triggered ability to net you infinite life. Finally, Whitemane Lion's own entry trigger forces it right back to your hand, resetting the loop so you can repeat the process indefinitely.
