How it works

1. Activate Viscera Seer by sacrificing Woodfall Primus.
2. When Woodfall Primus dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. Thran Vigil and Woodfall Primus trigger.
4. Resolve the Thran Vigil trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Woodfall Primus.
5. Resolve the Woodfall Primus trigger, destroying target noncreature permanent.
6. Resolve the Viscera Seer ability
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop starts by feeding Woodfall Primus to Viscera Seer, which triggers the Primus's persist ability to bring it right back to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter. Because the Primus is an artifact and/or creature card leaving your graveyard during your turn, Thran Vigil triggers to place a +1/+1 counter on it; thanks to Magic's state-based actions, that +1/+1 counter and the -1/-1 counter will annihilate each other, leaving the Primus pristine and ready to be sacrificed all over again. With the -1/-1 counter neutralized each cycle, every sacrifice allows the Woodfall Primus to enter the battlefield anew to blow up another noncreature permanent while Viscera Seer lets you scry through your entire library.
