How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Woodfall Primus
2. When Woodfall Primus dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Woodfall Primus enters, it and Stalwart Successor trigger.
4. Resolve the Woodfall Primus trigger, destroying a noncreature permanent.
5. Resolve the Stalwart Successor trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Woodfall Primus
6. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
7. Repeat.

This vicious engine leverages Woodfall Primus and its native persist ability to repeatedly devastate your opponents' boards, wiping out every noncreature permanent in sight. While the Bloodflow Connoisseur provides the necessary outlet to sacrifice the Primus on demand, Stalwart Successor acts as the crucial linchpin: its triggered ability places a +1/+1 counter on the returning Primus the moment those counters try to enter, successfully neutralizing the -1/+1 counter from persist via state-based actions. This elegant neutralization resets the Primus's persist eligibility indefinitely, letting Bloodflow Connoisseur continuously grow larger while you dismantle the entire game piece by piece.
