How it works

1. Activate Steel Overseer by tapping it, putting +1/+1 counter on each artifact creature you control.
2. Scurry Oak triggers, creating a 1/1 Squirrel creature token.
3. The Squirrel enters the battlefield, triggering Intruder Alarm, untapping all creatures.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This loop is brilliantly unlocked by Encroaching Mycosynth, which turns all your nonland permanents—including Scurry Oak and the Squirrel tokens it creates—into artifacts alongside their other types. Because everything is now an artifact creature, Steel Overseer’s tap ability successfully targets and buffs every creature you control with a +1/+1 counter. That counter placement triggers Scurry Oak to spawn a 1/1 green Squirrel creature token, which in turn causes Intruder Alarm to trigger upon entry and untap all your creatures—including Steel Overseer itself. With the overseer ready to tap again, you can feed this loop indefinitely to generate an unstoppable army of creatures, infinite enters-the-battlefield triggers, and endless untaps.
