How it works

1. Cause a creature to enter the battlefield under your control.
2. Terror of the Peaks triggers, dealing damage to you equal to the creature's power, with you being unable to lose the game due to Platinum Angel.
3. Darien triggers, creating a number of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens equal to the damage dealt to you.
4. When the Soldiers enter the battlefield, Terror of the Peaks triggers that many times.
5. Resolve the first trigger, dealing 1 damage to you, with you being unable to lose the game due to Platinum Angel.
6. Repeat from step 3.

This engine creates a self-sustaining feedback loop fueled by self-inflicted damage and token generation. With Platinum Angel safely on the board protecting you from losing the game, any initial creature entering the battlefield prompts Terror of the Peaks to deal damage directly to you. That incoming damage triggers Darien, King of Kjeldor to produce an army of 1/1 Soldier creature tokens, which in turn causes Terror of the Peaks to trigger anew for each incoming Soldier. Because each token's entrance deals 1 damage to you—which Darien converts into yet another Soldier—the loop perpetuates itself infinitely, generating boundless creature tokens and endless enters-the-battlefield triggers.
