How it works

1. Deal noncombat damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating at least one Treasure token.
3. When the Treasure(s) enter as creature(s) due to March of the Machines, Terror of the Peaks triggers that many times.
4. Resolve the first trigger, dealing damage to Smaug.
5. Repeat from step 2.

The true brilliance of this engine lies in how March of the Machines transforms every Treasure token into an artifact creature, setting up a devastating chain reaction. Once you deal initial noncombat damage to Smaug the Impenetrable, its triggered ability responds by spawning a wave of new Treasures. Because those tokens now enter as creatures, they instantly activate Terror of the Peaks' second ability, channeling the dragon's wrath to blast Smaug right back with the exact damage needed to trigger the cycle all over again.
