How it works

  1. Activate Emry by tapping it, allowing you to cast Jeweled Lotus from your graveyard.
  2. Cast Jeweled Lotus by paying 0.
  3. Displacer Kitten triggers, blinking Emry.
  4. When Emry enters, it triggers, causing you to mill four cards.
  5. Activate Jeweled Lotus by tapping and sacrificing it.
  6. Repeat.

This looping masterpiece relies on the constant, blink-refreshing nature of Emry, Lurker of the Loch, whose tap ability pulls Jeweled Lotus straight out of your graveyard to be recast for free. Every time you cast that free noncreature artifact, Displacer Kitten triggers to blink Emry, resetting her tap ability and triggering a fresh four-card mill upon her reentry. You then crack the freshly cast Jeweled Lotus for three mana to fund any other spells you might need, while Hammer of Purphoros quietly ensures all your creatures possess haste and stands ready to turn spare lands into 3/3 Golem tokens. Together, this engine endlessly recycles the lotus for infinite storm, mana, and a rapidly shrinking library.
