How it works

1. If Enduring Vitality is not a creature, activate Zur by paying 1, causing Enduring Vitality to become a creature.
2. Activate Enduring Vitality by tapping it, adding .
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar's second ability by sacrificing Enduring Vitality, adding CC.
4. When Enduring Vitality dies, it triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as an enchantment.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine turns Enduring Vitality into a self-recurring sacrifice loop by leveraging Zur, Eternal Schemer to animate it into an enchantment creature whenever needed. Once animated, Enduring Vitality taps for mana before being fed directly to Ashnod's Altar to generate colorless mana and trigger its own death ability. Because Enduring Vitality returns to the battlefield as a non-creature enchantment rather than staying dead, you can repeat the entire process indefinitely, while Hammer of Purphoros sits passively on the board ensuring any creature tokens or revivals (though not needed here) are ready for action.
