How it works
- Deal combat damage using the creature that has Breath of Fury attached and Ancient Gold Dragon, triggering Breath of Fury and Ancient Gold Dragon.
- Resolve the Ancient Gold Dragon trigger, creating at least one creature token.
- Resolve the Breath of Fury trigger, causing you to sacrifice the creature it is attached to, then attach Breath of Fury to a creature token, then causing you to untap all creatures you control and to get an additional combat phase after this one.
- Repeat each combat phase.
This dazzling loop turns the majestic Ancient Gold Dragon into an endless engine of war by leveraging the relentless aura Breath of Fury. When the Dragon—or whatever creature currently bears the Aura—connects with an opponent's life total, Breath of Fury triggers its sacrifice condition while granting you a fresh combat phase and untapping your entire board. Meanwhile, Hammer of Purphoros provides the crucial haste needed for any newly minted token to immediately enter the fray and carry the torch. By shifting the Aura onto one of the many Faerie Dragon tokens rolled from Ancient Gold Dragon's d20, you ensure there is always a suitable sacrifice ready to keep the infinite combat phases rolling.
