How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Workshop Assistant, adding CC.
2. When Workshop Assistant dies, it triggers, returning Junk Diver to your hand from your graveyard.
3. Imotekh the Stormlord's first ability triggers, creating two 2/2 Necron Warrior artifact creature tokens.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a Necron Warrior, adding CC.
5. Cast Junk Diver by paying 3.
6. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Junk Diver, adding CC.
7. When Junk Diver dies, it triggers, returning Workshop Assistant to your hand from your graveyard.
8. Imotekh the Stormlord's first ability triggers, creating two 2/2 Necron Warrior artifact creature tokens.
9. Cast Workshop Assistant by paying 3.
10. Repeat.

This recursive loop relies on a clever cycle of recycling between Workshop Assistant and Junk Diver, both of which use their death triggers to pull each other right back from the graveyard to your hand. As you sacrifice them to Ashnod's Altar for colorless mana, their departures from the graveyard trigger Imotekh the Stormlord to continuously flood the board with pairs of Necron Warrior tokens. You can then sacrifice these extra tokens to fuel the mana needed to cast the looping artifact creatures again, while Imotekh the Stormlord's Grand Strategist ability can even give one of your artifact creatures a combat boost if you decide to turn your infinite army sideways.
