How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Flayer of the Hatebound
2. When Flayer of the Hatebound dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
3. When Flayer of the Hatebound enters, it triggers, dealing damage equal to its power to any target.
4. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Flayer of the Hatebound
5. When Flayer of the Hatebound dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
6. When Flayer of the Hatebound enters, it triggers, dealing damage equal to its power to any target.
7. Resolve both Bloodflow Connoisseur abilities from step 1 and 4.
8. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an endless engine of destruction by granting Flayer of the Hatebound alternate lives through its night-side persist ability. Each time Bloodflow Connoisseur sacrifices the Flayer, it bounces back and forth between undying and persist counters—resetting its own counter status with each transition while triggering its enter-the-graveyard and enter-the-battlefield effects. The resulting damage from Flayer of the Hatebound's triggered ability incinerates any target indefinitely, while Bloodflow Connoisseur happily feasts on the endless stream of sacrifices to grow infinitely large.
