How it works
- Activate Chandra's second loyalty ability by putting a loyalty counter on it, creating two 1/1 Elemental creature tokens.
- Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the Elementals, adding CCCC.
- Activate The Chain Veil by paying 4 and tapping it, allowing an extra activation of your planeswalkers' loyalty abilities this turn.
- Activate Teferi's first loyalty ability by putting a loyalty counter on it, untapping The Chain Veil and up to other other creature and/or land you control, and causing you to gain 2 life.
- Repeat.
This clever loop hinges on Teferi, Who Slows the Sunset to untap the very permanents that fuel your engine, specifically resetting The Chain Veil so you can keep granting extra loyalty activations. Chandra, Acolyte of Flame provides the essential creature tokens through her zero-loyalty ability, which are then fed directly into Ashnod's Altar to generate the colorless mana needed to pay for The Chain Veil's activation cost. As Teferi's +1 ability untaps both the Altar and the Veil alongside your other resources, the loop becomes self-sustaining and endlessly repeatable.
