Feign Death

How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, cast Feign Death by paying , targeting Xiahou Dun.
2. Storm-Kiln Artist triggers, creating a Treasure token.
3. Resolve Feign Death.
4. Activate Xiahou Dun by sacrificing it, targeting Feign Death.
5. When Xiahou Dun dies, it triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Resolve the Xiahou Dun ability from step 2, returning Feign Death from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
8. Repeat.

This loop relies on Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed's ability to pull black spells right back out of your graveyard, which naturally includes the very Feign Death that just saved him from the sacrifice. Whenever you cast that spell, Storm-Kiln Artist's magecraft ability kicks in to generate a Treasure token, whose mana funds the next iteration of the loop. Because Xiahou Dun comes right back to the battlefield courtesy of Feign Death's delayed trigger with a fresh counter in tow, you can endlessly recur your spells while farming massive magecraft and death triggers.
