How it works

1. During your precombat main phase, cast Undying Malice by paying , targeting Xiahou Dun.
2. Activate Xiahou Dun by sacrificing it, targeting Undying Malice.
3. When Xiahou Dun dies, it and Pitiless Plunderer trigger.
4. Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
5. Resolve the Xiahou Dun trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Resolve the Xiahou Dun ability from step 2, returning Undying Malice from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Activate the Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
8. Repeat.

This infinite loop turns Xiahou Dun, the One-Eyed into a recursive engine by using Undying Malice to constantly resurrect him whenever he sacrifices himself to retrieve a black card. Pitiless Plunderer is the crucial lynchpin of the operation, sitting quietly on the battlefield and generating a Treasure token every time Xiahou Dun dies, which then provides the black mana needed to recast the spell. By feeding Xiahou Dun back into his own activation cost and returning Undying Malice to your hand each cycle, you create an endless loop of sacrifices and returns that fuels infinite death, enter-the-battlefield, and magecraft triggers.
