How it works

1. Activate Blinking Spirit by paying 0, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
2. Cast Blinking Spirit by paying 3.
3. When Blinking Spirit enters the battlefield, Mana Echoes triggers, adding at least CCCCC.
4. Activate Energy Refractor by paying 2, adding .
5. Repeat.
6. If you control six or more Spirits, this combo nets infinite mana.

This charming loop hinges on Blinking Spirit's free activation, which lets you bounce it back to your hand as often as you like so you can recast it fresh. Every time it returns to the battlefield, Mana Echoes looks at the growing number of Spirits you control and rewards you with a massive windfall of colorless mana. To turn that raw colorless energy into the white mana needed to recast your creature, you can channel it through Energy Refractor—which happily cycles itself into a card when it first arrives, to boot. As long as you have enough shared creature types to clear the mana threshold, this self-sustaining engine generates infinite colorless mana, infinite colored mana, and an infinitely large storm count.
