How it works

1. Activate Xavier Sal by tapping it and removing a counter from a permanent you control, creating a token copy of the Forest Dryad token.
2. When the Forest Dryad enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm and Sunspring Expedition trigger.
3. Resolve the Sunspring Expedition trigger, putting a counter on a creature you control.
4. Resolve the Intruder Alarm trigger, untapping all creatures.
5. Repeat.

This delightful loop gets its engine running through Xavier Sal, Infested Captain, who relies on having a counter to remove in order to populate a Forest Dryad token created by Staff of Titania. Every time that Forest Dryad enters the battlefield, Intruder Alarm triggers to untap all of your creatures—including Xavier—while simultaneously ticking up Sunspring Expedition with a new quest counter via its landfall ability. Because Xavier Sal untaps fresh and ready to go with every new token, you can endlessly repeat the process of peeling away a counter to populate, flooding the board with infinite tokens, untaps, and landfall triggers.
