How it works

1. Activate Bloodflow Connoisseur by sacrificing Melira's Keepers
2. When Melira's Keepers dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its static effect.
3. Resolve the Bloodflow Connoisseur ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop is built around the clever synergy between Isilu, Carrier of Twilight's face (the back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight) and Melira's Keepers, which completely short-circuits the drawback of the persist mechanic by refusing to let -1/-1 counters be placed on it. By feeding Melira's Keepers into Bloodflow Connoisseur's sacrifice ability, the creature dies only to immediately return with its persist trigger intact, allowing you to repeat the process indefinitely. Bloodflow Connoisseur gladly accepts the sacrifices and grows endlessly in power as it stacks up infinite counters, fueling a ceaseless engine of death and rebirth.
