How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Melira's Keepers
2. When Melira's Keepers dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its static effect.
3. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight into an engine of endless rebirth by leveraging Isilu's static ability to grant persist to your nontoken creatures. When you sacrifice Melira's Keepers to Bartolomé del Presidio, persist would normally return it with a -1/-1 counter, but Melira's Keepers's own static text completely blocks counters from being placed on it. This means it returns clean every single time, letting Bartolomé del Presidio grow infinitely large while churning through an endless cycle of sacrifice, death, and enter-the-battlefield triggers.
