How it works

1. Activate either of the creatures by tapping it, targeting the other creature.
2. If the tapped creature was a Merfolk, Deeproot Pilgrimage triggers, creating a 1/1 Merfolk creature token.
3. Resolve the ability from step 1, untapping the targeted creature.
4. Repeat.

This charming little loop turns an ordinary pair of untappers into an endless wave of hexproof defenders. By tapping Kiora's Follower to untap Vizier of Tumbling Sands and vice versa, the two creatures continuously ready each other for another activation. Because Kiora's Follower naturally shares the Merfolk creature type, its exertion effortlessly satisfies Deeproot Pilgrimage's trigger condition whenever it taps, flooding your board with a growing army of 1/1 token reinforcements.
