How it works
- Activate Catapult Captain by paying 2, tapping it, and sacrificing Angelic Enforcer, causing target opponent with a lower life total than you to lose life equal to its toughness.
- The opponent loses the game due to having zero or less life.
This clever terminal sequence relies on manipulating life totals and creature characteristics to eliminate an opponent in a single blow. When Enduring Angel enters your graveyard or battlefield, its replacement effect ensures that if your life total ever hits zero or less, it transforms into Angelic Enforcer instead of you losing the game, setting your life total to a sturdy 3 in the process. Because Angelic Enforcer's power and toughness are each equal to your life total, its toughness becomes 3 while you are at 3 life. This perfectly sets the stage for Catapult Fodder to transform into Catapult Captain once you control enough high-toughness creatures, allowing you to pay {2}{B}, tap it, and sacrifice the newly-toughness-boosted Angelic Enforcer to deal lethal damage equal to that toughness straight to your target opponent.
